When I first started seeing F45 gyms popping up around sydney. I thought, "here we go... another crossfit gym". I was wrong. It wasn't until I was asked to photograph the F45 gym open day at seven hills that I found out what all the fuss was all about.
F45 Training is a team-based, functional training facility that places a huge emphasis on the 'three key factors' of motivation, innovation and results.
The 'F' stands for functional no program is ever repeated, making every workout a unique experience.
There are over 1200 specific exercises and workouts change daily. There are multiple screens around the gym for guidance to ensure you know when it's time to rest or change stations.
Instead of smashing out a set amount of repetitions F45 is time based. You work at your own pace for a specific amount of time, then you change to the next station. You decide if you want to push yourself that extra little bit harder!
Trainers are alert to mistakes - and will correct you to ensure you are achieving maximum results by completing the exercise properly - eliminating the possibility of injury that could be occur if you may be doing the exercise incorrectly.
When trying to accomplish a certain number of reps, you may lose your 'form' which is the correct 'action' or 'motion' for that exercise.
